Pro choice March

On October 2nd , in New York City and many other cities around the country pro choice marches and protest were held .

As a photographer, I am there to cover the event whether I agree with it or not . In the case this day , I did agree with the women there fighting for their rights to choose as more and more states have decided to take these rights away from them .

Personally, I would never ask someone to make that choice , but , to me , it isn’t my choice to make for others . What right do o have to say people I don’t even know can or can’t do this , what bearing does a woman’s choice put on my life ? None .

What I can’t figure out also is , why it seems Republicans or maybe even Republican women when asked to take the vaccine say “ my body my choice “ but suddenly when it’s something they don’t agree with , the my body my choice goes out the window and now it’s “ your body , my choice “ to these people.

I’ve also heard people against abortion speak for God , they say it’s not what God wants . Will somebody please point me to the person who has actually spoke to God to get this info . Does anyone ever take the time to think that God have us the ability and knowledge to allow us to do the things we do professionally such as abortion? ( I do not believe in God by the way )

And one more thing I don’t understand about Texas with the new laws . A citizen from Texas can carry a gun and shoot and kill someone trespassing on their property. But , if I person trespasses on a woman’s property, rapes and impregnates her and she chooses an abortion , she is likely to be charged with a more severe crime then the rapist . That’s the Texas standard .

And lastly , before I share photos from this event , I’m curious . First of all to the religious people who think they speak for God or know what God wants , the Bible says Mathew 7: 1 and 2 : 1 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

My point being , if God is the judge and abortion is wrong in Gods eyes , then let God judge these people in that day . We all should be able to make our own decision of how we move through life . So stop judging others when it has no impact on you and your life personally.
