Today in New York City was the 1st annual Japan day parade on Central Park west . Grand Marshall for the event was none other then George Takei of Star Trek fame .
Thankfully , it was finally warmer then it’s been , but, the skies were overcast and looked like rain most of the time, which eventually did come about 20 minutes after leaving the parade . The parade in general turned out to be a good one , a lot longer then I expected and was still going when I left .
In the end I would rate it as one of the better parades I’ve seen. A list of my favorite but not in order of best to worst .
1. Pride parade 2. Veterans Day 3. Mermaid parade 4. Dominican day parade 5. Puerto Rican Day parade.
