The last days for Akane in New York City , before her return to Japan . It’s about the 4th or 5th shoot together and decided to get together one last time for now .
Unfortunately, now that theaters in New York City will be closed until sometime next year , it will probably be time for a lot of the dancers who are here on artist visas to head back home .
For the shoot , it was scorching hot day outside, 90f / 33c , but we survived and were able to get it done . We had wanted to shoot at the high line in NYC , but , found it was closed , so we made our way around meat packing district and then to the water front .
This being the 2nd trip to the city since the lockdown began , and nice to see the majority of people wearing masks and taking it seriously and even nicer to see the subway trains empty even during rush hour . In general we wore our masks , especially when moving from one spot to another and during the shoot we were never near groups of people so we were able to be maskless at some points.
For this shoot as normal I brought my canon 5D mark III and and 50mm 1.8f lens .
