So a little about my trip to Rome . Stayed at the Marriott Grand Flora , a beautiful hotel next to Villa Borghese Gardens , it’s a nice park to spend some time in , if you need to relax and the hotel is just out of the touristy loud areas of the city but , still near enough the main sites . For the most part everything was in walking distance , a subway station across the street , if you don’t want to walk , and if you prefer taxi, most rides are about 10 euro from the hotel area to the main spots the furthest being Vatican City which is about 3 miles , I did the walk there and back . I prefer to see everything from the alleys to the old architecture. The walk to Vatican City also has the Spanish steps , the pantheon and circus Maximus on the way , so it’s a full day . Personally I can not recommend any of the tours , because I prefer not to do them , I enjoy the freedom of just going where I want when I want . The only tour I went on was the Coliseum underground tour , besides the rain all day that day , it is a nice tour and it also included going to the Forum on that tour .
Below is a few more photos from the trip , all unedited, just haven’t found the time yet . In the end I was in Rome 7 full days . That’s probably enough as I made it everywhere I wanted to go and got in 3 photoshoots of 6 different dancers .
I do see myself going back again , more sooner then later . Possibly staying in Rome and doing day trips to some of the other cities by train . Venice is a 3 hour train ride.
