Night lights

Recently a few photographers and I got together in Central Park , NYC to do light painting . Unfortunately for me , my timing was a bit off because I had forgotten my remote for the camera .

The process is basically leaving your shutter open for about 8 seconds while someone is moving a light source that causes the streaking effect in the photo . My issue was starting the photo late and ending late in some cases because I was using my timer to flash . But here are some of the results . Just fyi to anyone who tries this with a model, the model needs to stabs perfectly still the entire time or they will blur .

  1. Hi Steve, It’s your Aldi friend, Joan. Your photography looks great along with the subject matter. I really enjoyed looking at the light painting photos. Didn’t even know this existed. Y R quite the photographer having the media pass & able to be a big part in recording history. Glad we met. Good luck in all your endeavors.

    1. Thank you for the comment , yea , I try to do my best with photography, I usually only go up to nyc recently for the parades , even though my press pass will get me into any news . I just like to have fun doing it rather than seeing other things . It was nice meeting you as well .. if you decide to text me, I’m usually sitting around between 9-3:00 looking for orders .. so if your bored during the day just give a shout and say hey ..
